Soccer...Soccer...Soccer Camp!

One of our favorite weeks of the summer...and a much belated post...usually we do 2 camps during the summer but with the schedules this summer of Daddy and Mommy...that just wasn't a possibility...so we were soooo excited because Madison did pretty well last year...yes when she was 2 (except when she was distracted by the flowers that is:)).

This was 2 weeks ago the camp...I think 2 weeks ago...Monday through Thursday...Daddy had the 2 girls all by himself the first night...hee...hee...hee...as I had a work commitment~ so Daddy headed out with the girls Monday night all by himself...really???? This will be interesting...not because of Bobby...but because of the girls...they both like to go in different directions...can you expect any less with a 3 and 1-year-old?

To Bobby's surprise my parents came to watch her first night of camp...thankful for that because oohhhhh...I think I could have predicted Madison's attitude before she even left...she took an extra looooooonnnnngggg nap for some reason that day...especially since we have been moving to "rest time" instead of napping....I even had to wake her up and it was time to go...yah...real great mood:) I knew Daddy was in for a ride that night.
My parents did arrive which Madison enjoyed but the entire time at camp...was a "break-down" so I heard....I felt so bad for Bobby and my parents as Madison really doesn't do that too often and especially around people she doesn't know.... So before the camp started...."Madison did awesome!!!!" Daddy says...because she was free reign with the ball....I said, "YES!!!!! Oh Daddy...you know what that means....she will be a mid-fielder like Mommy!!!!" But the camp we shall say just wasn't a good day for her...however....Bobby did manage to get some pictures that are pretty good from Day 1...and by the end of the week...the last two days we had our "normal" Madison back!

But some thought she was the "melt-down" girl I am sure...but you know Madison wasn't the only one either...so kind of refreshing...even though you never wish as parents "melt downs" on other kiddos..

Day 1 with kicking over the "trees"
Papa John with Madison...she was liking to take turns with who helped her...because with so many 2-5 year-olds...parent involvement does help...which we never mind...are you kidding? (For real we don't...we love to get involved...especially with this).
Daddy got this cute photo of Hayley on Day 1...Now maybe I should stop to say this...right now it is merely a fun time for Madison to enjoy soccer camp...and yes we will love her no matter (and Hayley too) if they end up "wanting" to play or not...but Daddy and Mommy can dream, right? That is what brought us together...soccer and our first passion when we were younger, and we are BIG fans...so we dream about it...pray about it...debate what positions our girls should play...but we know it isn't really is up to us anyway:)...whatever they do we will love.

Day 2 was better...but not by much...she had an issue which didn't help so I will leave it at that and not say anymore:) but she did better with the "attitude" and had some fun! Before camp dribbling...I tell you what...she did the best before camp with dribbling with confidence...so we are very proud of her! Day 3 was sooo much better...Daddy got some cute photos of me helping Madison but I thought this one was better on Day 3...can you tell I was prepared in the right shoes....? Oh well...I thought I would be mostly keeping Hayley entertained to give Daddy and Madison some special time...but that's alright...she really wanted to take turns with us helping her.A cute little game they played...sort of like Red Rover...but instead of running through the arms you had to score a goal between the legs...and she did it...she just is such an accurate and precise little girl...she tries to line things up perfectly...it is cute though:)

I loved these of Bobby with Madison...so cute:)

Last Day of camp...she did the best...we love soccer week...we will probably try to do the fall one...hopefully a better location than last year for the fall camp...

Things to work on....attitude...attitude...really that...but no hands too...sometimes she tries to line the ball up so perfect that by the little inch...she wants to move it to get it just right...and of course just for her to have fun and learn the basics right now...she really loves the kids and learning so this is great for her...plus Bobby and I get our little soccer fix too:)
