Reunions...

Hmmm....maybe that title got your attention a bit...well hopefully in a good way...because it was a good reunion...Now...before you just say anything...just read on...

I really don't have very many pictures...3 to be exact...

Not because I didn't want to take any but because I forgot my camera in the car most of the time...but I did mention I got a new dress last weekend...a black and white one that was fun for me AND pretty darn comfortable at the same time...

So how many of you have actually been to one of your reunions?...well to be honest ours was pretty special for so many reasons...now don't say "ick" either...you'll see!

If you have read the anniversary post ~ Bobby and I have been together since freshman in high school! So a very long time...so we have all the same friends from our high school...which definitely makes it easy on the "spouse" because both of us pretty much knew the exact sample people, right?...
Needless to say it was a fantastic turnout of MOST of the people we hung out with...come to think of it...we had some older & some younger friends too...but majority in our class were in attendance...but not to sound "braggi-ish"...yes...(I did just make up that word)...we got along with almost everyone in high school...it didn't matter who they were or what "whatever"...now if you happen to be the ONE person we didn't reading this...just don't comment and ruin our fun either:)...

It is amazing how much our hometown has changed...pretty darn AMAZING...I barely recognize it anymore...my parents moved when I graduated high school so it really is Bobby's family just living there now...but I have so many fond memories...and some very fond places have now DISAPPEARED from there and now there are businesses and restaurants are EVERYWHERE! Different...but growth is good...well...the one thing I have a hard time seeing is the new high school added...a soon to be divided town...which will be interesting if you know what I mean...

Anyway, we started off dinner on the square with some friends we used to hang out with...I got a picture of a very good friend of mine since GRADE SCHOOL! I just loved seeing her...and I love she is one of my oldest friends...truly terrific...and I know you are reading this at some point too:) so thanks for having us come to dinner too! And loved spending time with you:)
Then we were off to a country club for the "REUNION"...to be honest...I have been telling Bobby..."I think I have changed my mind!" "I don't want to go!"...even though we didn't have horrific experiences with people...I was nervous about how some may have changed...who I would see...to be specific...that morning...I said "Bobby I'm NOT going! I am too NERVOUS!"...and you want to bet what his first thought was that he probably will not admit to?
....we just went last weekend to get a "new dress" you got to be kidding me?!...I bet so...really bet so! But he didn't say that thank goodness! See...now it is hard he knows about the "dress" thing now...I kind of liked it my little thing...but I think for the most part he doesn't mind at all.

So anyway...a terrific night all in all...and want to know the best part???? Well even though we had a BLAST with everyone...it was all for a VERY special reason...you see one of the graduates in our class is now paralyzed...well a quadriplegic ...and the sad part was...I didn't know until the original e-mail was sent out about the reunion to begin with that this happened to her...it was just well you all know what happens after high school...."life in general" and we don't get back too often and have just a good handful of people we still talk with on a regular basis...but we still didn't know it happened until maybe 1/2 a year ago....horribly sad when I found out as she was a victim of a hit and run accident by a drunk driver...so the VERY BEST part of the night was that it was a benefit to help her and her family...I received an e-mail this morning $1500 was raised...pretty darn neat don't you think?
A FUN, FUN, FUN night to talk and catch up with those who know you like no other...everyone was talking about how nervous and they almost didn't come...so we weren't the only ones...I guess we honestly do have a pretty darn great class from our high school...(you probably don't want to hear that, right?) I know not everyone's experience wasn't spectacular...but reconnecting with people and just having FUN...which most of us don't do enough anymore was well worth going for Bobby and I...

So these were the only pictures of the night we had...so sad...huh?

Blessings to you all!
