Oops...not me....

YEP... this past week...I did get into a bit of trouble you may say....

hmmm....but I kind of told on myself...you know I'm NEVER good at keeping things from hubby...not even if they are little silly things...NOPE...never good at it...

Last week I had a little lunch date with a friend and her two girls...and well I lost my debit card BEFORE I even got there...went home to find it since I had it when I went to the post office that day....everything continued to be chipper...fun...{well except for the torrential down pour of rain}...

and I LOST it AGAIN! {this time I hate to say it I didn't even know it}...until the woman brought it to us.....

SO....I just had to tell on myself...you see...to my hubby...because EVEN I have had the last straw with myself and my losing my darn debit card! I told him...I'm sorry but this has to be maybe the 100th time...he said "No...maybe the 150th time"...

I needed some major reinforcements...I had to tell to ask for help...okay....so this is partially another confession because I am typically a really organized person but like I have mentioned...oh....maybe a 100 times...when it comes to my purse and our bedroom...I just CANNOT seem to get it together...I really can't! No matter what I have done...after even an hour they both are a horrible mess...

A phone call to hubby on my way home...spilling the beans...{he has learned NOT to get upset about it anymore...well because it will happen in no time again}...and he says...THAT'S IT...tonight when we get home "I'M taking you to the store and picking out your wallet"...{I get to pick color of course he says}...and we have a date to sit down, him organizing my wallet, me listening, and figuring it out how I'm going to do this ..."UMMM.... OKAY!!!!...REALLY!...a new wallet!!!"...{I was thinking}...

but honestly I was more relieved for some help here...because it is that bad...{I've already said a "key finder that makes noise is on my x-mas list...no kidding...I guess that makes 3 things I cannot get together for the life of me}

SO...hubby gets home...and I have on my cute shoes to look a little innocent...sweet...like a wife who has it together...kiddos ready to go...and a million "I'm sorry" because that could be BAD if I lost it and it fell into the wrong hands...

Hubby's requirements for finding the perfect wallet for me...

1. something smaller that I cannot JAM all or any of my receipts in...

2. something that closes/snaps so nothing falls of it especially when I JAM it closed...{although he says I cannot do that anymore since he will get one that has limited space}

3. organizing compartments...but not too many...so I don't lose things "within" my wallet...because that has been known to happen too...

Things Hubby learned when helping me to organize my purse...and new wallet...

1. that I had receipts of anything and everything in...

2. old and expired insurance cards resided in my wallet...along with an old debit card...old license...reward cards for places we don't frequent at all...how in the heck did they land in my wallet? I don't know...I think some were from college days...and I just shoved everything in each new wallet when they wore out...

3. I need to get an extra card holder that holds reward cards to places I go like...office max...cartridge world...petsmart...you know places I go sometimes for errands/work but "they are NOT to be stored in my everyday wallet" he says...

4. I have to place receipts in another handy little bag since I carry a "suitcase" he says...because and I quote..."they DO NOT go in my wallet"

Things I learned while hubby was helping me...

1. he is great to actually help me without getting upset or mad at me...{it's not always that dandy though:)}

2. I can sneak in some reward gifts for myself since I told him it takes a month to form a habit...so I had these small white pitchers I would like to collect {along with white ironstone ones and dishes}...and explained maybe if I had a reward at the end of every week for a month I may keep my head on straight enough to form a habit...and I know JUST the items...these pitchers would make a GREAT reward for me...

3. ...and he said "YES!"...."really? " I said...UMMM...OKAY!!!!

4. and that is how I did it and will now be receiving a small white pitcher at the end of this week {since I have NOT lost it once and we have 2 days to go for week 1}...and the week after...and the week after...now I just have to find a 4th for the 4th week...he says "3 is PLENTY!"...rewards work for me I guess...I thought they might since Madison's reward chart works for her...and we really are one in the same you know... {wink, wink:)}

5. I now owe my hubby BIG because he is now helping me with our bedroom now...which I attempted yesterday...but I forgot the kiddos had NO school this week and Miss Hayley had a whopping 30 minute nap yesterday so right when I have everything in mounds on the floor to start organizing she woke up...and he came home to a GREAT big MONSTER mess...felt bad on that one for sure:)...

So would you like to see what he picked out?

...hard case...so easy to find when I have my arms full at the post office...store, etc. since it feels different than anything else in my purse...

he placed my cards in there I use only on a regular basis or necessary cards like insurance, debit, work debit, work credit, etc.

UMM...you may see some cash...but that is NOT my cash...the girls for their rewards that grandparents gave them...I don't carry cash EVER...

and there's that clasp...which after using a week...I LOVE because NOTHIN' EVER falls out...and I truly love that...he must know me well....:)Love you hubby!
Blessings to you all!

I keep commenting and forgetting to do the little "special word" thingy. Silly me! I LOVED this post! The picture of you at the top had me laughing right away!! And I LOVE the wallet Bobby picked out for you to use. It's so girly and nice. I always get something boring and black at Target. :( I'm thinking of shopping for a new one after reading this!

i love it!
bryan could never pick out a wallet for me...because i would send him to anthro and he would vomit because of the $49 price tag...then head to walmart and pick out a $4 wallet to bring home to me.
Of course at that point he won't be allowed back in our bedroom for a year.
xo
can't wait to see you in ONE MONTH!!!
