Fun at Easter Eggstravaganza!

We had a lot of happenings over the weekend to share. First we can start with Easter Eggstravangza at our church! It was a great time where they had Easter Egg hunts, crafts, prizes, stories from the characters of the Easter story, and many more other things we didn't get to. Uncle Tyler helping Madison with the craft.

Aunt Monica was able to bring her girls - our nieces - just in time to join us for the Easter Eggstravaganza at church so Madison, Hayley, Abby, and Katelynn had a great time together - it was fun to have the cousins together at a neat function like that! It was really cute actually and to see the girls do the egg hunt!
Hayley was first in her age category - Daddy helped her and Hayley loved putting eggs in the basket! She did a great job - Daddy was so proud of her (mommy too - but you can see daddy helping her).

Hayley looking for another egg...Daddy looking handsome (that'll embarrass Daddy, but it's true! :) )

Mommy proud of her little girl too!

The Clark Family with everyone there - Abby really enjoyed seeing Hayley when she got there - she was just brushing her cheek with her finger! So very cute and Hayley just loved watching her.

Madison and Abby giving one another a hug - just adorable - them together. Papa with Katelynn - she was just relaxing and enjoying being warmer from outside because it was WINDY! Madison and Abigail are just 2 days apart and Katelynn and Hayley are just 2 months apart to the day! Can you believe how cool that is? We just wish they lived closer, but they will grow up seeing one another fairly often for living far away so that is pretty neat!

Madison and Abigail at the egg hunt - Daddy and Uncle Tyler gave them pep talks to fire them up!!! How funny.

The girls together after the egg hunt - how cute with their arms around together! They did so well. Tonight after everyone is in bed I will update about Madison's birthday party that afternoon too!

Happy Birthday Hayley! March 15th! -----(Belated Post)

Pictures are here! However, I think Bobby got some really great ones on his digital camera he has for work which I don't have yet - that is pretty funny if you know Bobby well too :). I will have to add those later! Hayley had a great birthday - getting some major teeth and not feeling tops that evening later on but she had a great birthday - opened presents well and had some fun! She was a queen at pulling that tissue paper out of those bags - it was really cute! Madison was a terrific big sister - a great big help and she got some presents too - how sweet of our family! Of course the theme was dragonflies as it was her 1st birthday! Bobby and I did emphasize not too many toys (which I never really like telling people what to get, but since they asked we just said that she already has a ton of toys from Madison so it would really be chaotic at our home with any more toys added - we were thankful for that!). Thank you family! We loved having everyone up and visiting - we actually had food brought in this time which was soooo much easier on Mommy and it didn't cost any more than how much we spent on Madison's 1st birthday so it turned out fantastic! Enjoy the pictures and to our sweet little Hayley - she is our dragonfly and sunshine and loves, loves, loves her big sister and Cadence (our puppy - they have a special bond like Madison did with Maximus). Happy Birthday sweetie - we love you!

We also did favors for everyone with something from my business, a friend made these dragonfly tags for us- that I encouraged them to pass on to someone else, and candy from Trader Joes (my favorite place!)! I only am sharing that because we also put a little thank you for everyone coming and just something interesting about dragonflies so we thought we would share it with everyone:

The dragonfly is regarded as a symbol of light... adaptability... love... hope... grace...and transformation...life's ever constant process of change. They have the unique ability to reflect and refract light making them known as "light-bearers." Hopefully this may remind all of us to let our own light shine forth as "light-bearers" too.

I know pictures is what everyone would like to see so here they are:

Just some cute pictures of Hayley opening gifts and such - then Madison playing "ring around the rosy" with Hayley - one of Madison's favorite things to do! We also got Hayley her chair so they could sit together and such - they BOTH think that is just the coolest think they have their own chair and climb from one to the other! It is really, really fun and cute to see them playing on them...that is until Madison turns them over calling them mountains and they both topple down which creates some bumps - but great imaginations nonetheless!

Now for the cake pictures which are always fun: (Daddy's and Mommy's favorite part! You have to love them trying cake for the first time!)

Yummy - white cake! (the only time I get away with ordering just white...is the 1st birthday! :) )

Here are some cute pictures of Madison at the party too: She is so cute :))! We love you our sweet darling!

Pictures of family that attended - we didn't get everyone, but we did the best we could!
.

Everyone that came and tried to come - thank you so much - Papa, Mena, Papa, Grandma, Great Grandpa Morrison, Tyler, Melissa, Mary, Mark, Betty, Lexie, Wyndell, Janel, and Lacey! Aunt Monica, Abby, and Katelynn - thank you for trying!! Thank you to Great Grandpa and Grandma Wappel, Great Grandma and Grandpa Finley, Addie, and Andy for sending their love too!

Yes, a post without pictures! It will have to do for now.

Yes, this is a post without pictures. A new digital camera coming soon? We will definitely have to fix that before Madison's birthday party...I hope. Just thought I would share some happenings at our household this week.

On Monday was Hayley's 1 year appt. We had to put that off for awhile since she has been on and off sick lately, but everything was grand - she was 50% height and 40% weight! She did great - she is speaking words well and signing. Madison was a TERRIFIC big sister at the appointment! Hayley was just not fond of the immunizations, and Madison just helped me calm her down - she kissed her on her head and said "shhh...Hayley It's okay...shhhh..." How cute that was! Madison really enjoys going to our doctor - she really engages with the girls so she now loves it! We still can't turn her around in the car - just not quite enough yet so we will have to wait. However, when that comes I know it will be a hoot in the car with both of them facing forward!

Yesterday Hayley had sunglasses on that Mena purchased for her, and she just thinks she is "big stuff" with them on and a "ROCK STAR." I did take pictures but you know that digital camera would be handy to upload them. Anyway - soo stinkin' cute. Mena by the way is my mom - (a little fyi on that one...Madison came up with that name when she first starting talking and stuck ever since. Anyway - it used to also be the same thing Madison called bananas - how funny - she no longer calls bananas that but it was funny she said "Mena" for both of them). Hayley also got her 1st baby doll from our friends yesterday and a basket full of goodies she loved. I still plan on doing her belated birthday blog - those pictures should be in anyday now!

Some happenings with Madison:

Anyone who knows Madison well knows she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Taylor Swift. The other day I said her name and she said "No, mommy...I am Taylor Swift." Not just Taylor, but Taylor Swift. Well Daddy loves to put CMT on Saturday and Sunday mornings as we all get ready so that is how she fell in love with her. Anyway - Papa Clark and Grandma (I say Papa Clark because she has two Papas) purchased her Taylor's CD last time they were up, and it is the only thing she listens to in the car. The only thing...aren't I supposed to have control on that being the driver and all? No, that is the first thing she asks for even before we are in the car. I just can't help but putting it on everytime for her because if you heard her sing - you would ! She especially loves #4 and #5 on the 2nd CD (we just purchased the 1st one for her birthday coming up). Her sweet little voice really gets into the singing. I love car rides now. I just smile the whole time! I am trying to figure out how to get video of that without her noticing because she gets shy when people realize she is singing... But I have got to get that figured out to show her someday.

Yesterday Madison painted lots and lots of pictures. So cute with her painting apron on - I am using them as part of the favors for her party this weekend - she painted everyone dresses including both Papas, Uncle Tyler, and Daddy. She told me "Daddy, has to wear this, right?" I said ABSOLUTELY! He will thank me for that later! Everyone got dresses painted except for Katelynn her cousin - she got painted a castle. I just love her imagination and descriptions of such. She isn't done painting yet we still have more to go - I wonder if more dresses will be coming? She included me in painting too and said "Mommy, this is dress is for you - you a Queen?" How sweet was that?

Last night Hayley spent about 45 minutes with her piggy bank - the play one with the big coins doing so well at putting them in with BOTH hands by herself. She has the focus and detail like Madison did. It is cute to see! She, I think will be a climber - last night she also climbed on Madison's little trunk we keep all of her blankets in. It is at the foot of her bed, and then she climbed onto Madison's queen size bed by herself - no trouble at all doing so! She was so proud of herself and just stood up!...[Yes we have a queen size for Madison as we needed a guest room bed so we use that when guests are in town.] She LOVES it because she can have lots of pillows on it (just like mommy likes) and blankets.

Well off to pick up Madison from school today. I know pictures would help:) I will work on that! Enjoy your day everyone! Blessings from all of us!

It's a Start!

Well - this is a start we will say! We have been told by many we are way behind with technology - we both probably agree with that. It has just been something that has been on "the way...way bottom of my list" especially with everything...but we realized we haven't sent out pictures in forever - partly due to the fact that the digital camera we used was taken, but also because we really have been having difficulty with any extra time things. However, a friend of mine told me that the biggest and most time consuming part was to start it then after that it is just about 15 minutes every time you post. I thought that was the best thing - I certainly can find 15 minutes -we all have 15 minutes at some part of the day!

Anyway - since we had to go back to using the camera that honestly I probably prefer anyway...it isn't digital...so we have to wait for pictures to be developed. The pictures we are putting on our first post are not too recent at all as we are waiting for others to be developed - we will just have to have a few belated blogs - such as Hayley's 1st birthday which was completely wonderful!

I do actually forsee it being a problem that if we do the blog about the digital camera that we will have to wait to do postings as pictures get developed. Something we may have to fix and our next investment perhaps...it is just getting me to make that purchase! Bobby on the other hand will love to do that purchase!

Upcoming is Madison's 3rd birthday - which she finally decided Tinkerbell - all those that currently have an almost 3-year-old or have had one know that they change their mind about every millisecond. It would go from Tinkerbell to Little Mermaid back to Tinkerbell and then back to Mermaid! We really spent a week getting it down. Actually as of last night I am really glad she decided Tinkerbell because we did princess last year and we couldn't find any Mermaid decor by herself - she was grouped with the princesses. Thank goodness something easy, right?
We really take a ton of pics - we are big on life's little moments and capturing the sweetness of our butterfly and dragonfly. Although we are not professional photographers by any means - we have one that we love and use - we love our girls and the pictures of them are from around Valentine's Day. We had such a fun family day that day - exactly what we both wanted since Bobby is gone so much (although that has been getting better too :) ).
Blessings and Love from all of us! We just hope we can keep this up as those do in the blog world.
